WHAT'S HAPPENING AT ST. FRANCIS
Update from Buildings & Grounds
Many of you have voiced concern over the water damage on the sanctuary ceiling. The water damage is the result of water entering the wall during heavy rains in which the wind blows the rain in from a specific direction. At the recommendation of a roofing professional, we replaced faulty flashing and allowed time to ensure the wall had dried out before taking the next steps. (This was to prevent moisture from being trapped in the wall). Replacing the flashing only corrected a portion of the problem, so we have engaged Spring Hill Construction to look under the siding and develop a plan to fix the problem. Once the root problem is corrected and the walls are watertight, we will fix the ceiling. Updates will be forth coming as we progress on fixing the problem.
